Overseas Exhibition

Since 1990s, the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation has played host and organization to numerous overseas exhibitions, including Korean Taste a 2009 Korean traditional crafts exhibition and the special exhibition at UNESCO in Paris Dreaming with Nature, more recently.

  • Exhibits
    Korean Precious traditions, which might have been lost in the process of country's modernization, were revived and preserved, and we now dream of recreating those traditions. We have presented about 88 representative traditional crafts at the exhibition. Most of them include masterpieces produced by designated holders of traditional crafting skills and their skilled apprentices.
    • Gallery1 presented Korean view of cosmology associated with designs of crafts
    • Gallery2 presented furniture traditionally used in the mem's quarters of a house, providing a glimpse into the thoughts of the literati.
    • The other space features religious arts including Buddhist sculptures and Buddhist paintings.

    This exhibition, which has been an opportunity to exhibit and promote Korean traditional crafts abroad, was jointly held by the CHF, the Embassy of the Republic of Kore to Croatia.
    During this special exhibition, 80 traditional crafts made by designated masterpieces were exhibited, and in particular, musical instruments, from which the original features of the traditional musical instruments were observed, were variously introduced. This exhibition has been provided cultural xchange both countries and exposed Croatia to Korean culture.
