Royal Palace Walk

Event Synopsis

Royal Palace Walk is an event introduces Sangchamui, the morning meeting in the Joseon Dynasty, and the daily life of the King and the Queen in the palace. A scene in which the King and the Queen took a walk around the palace based on Gangnyeongjeon (a living quarter) of Gyeongbokgung, and Hyangwonjeong (a pavilion) together with officials in the Joseon Dynasty is reproduced. Also, a scene in which the Crown Prince at Donggung (the Crown Prince’s Compound) took a walk to take a rest, then met the King and the Queen around
Hyangwonjeong (a pavilion) is represented to offer further sights.

Introduction to Event

  • Period: April ~ November (closed in July and August)
  • Place: Sajeongjeon(Official quarters) and Gangnyeongjeon(Living quarters) at Gyeongbokgung palace
  • Course : Gyeonghoeru(a pavilion)→Gangnyeongjeon→Sajeongjeon→Gyeonghoeru
