Introduction of CPI Program

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea(hereinafter MCST) has undertaken the CPI Project aiming at enhancing the international exchange in the field of Culture, Arts, Tourism and Sports through inviting specialists from all over the world since 2005.
Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation(hereinafter KCHF) plays an active part in the Cultural Partnership Initiative(CPI) Programme since 2008 as an agency for Cultural heritage field. launched to construct an international human network and help overseas partners better understand Korean tradition and Culture.
CPI programme by KCHF is designed to provide an opportunity for cultural heritage related experts and professionals to study and work together during the period in Korea. In addition, we would like to promote cooperation in the field of cultural heritage among participants and their organizations and countries.
CPI programme consists of CPI common program(Korean language training) and Institutional program(professional training, tour on cultural heritage sites, and individual research.
CPI programme by KCHF has been improved and expanded as follows; “Invitation training for transmitters of traditional crafts”(2008~2010), “Invitation training for Intangible cultural heritage planning specialists”(2011~2013), “Invitation training for Cultural heritage planning experts”(2014), “Cultural Heritage Specialist Training”(2015), and “Cultural Heritage Experts Research Fellowship”(2016).
So far, 39 experts(specialists) from 15 countries, including Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and South America, have been invited to the CPI program by KCHF.
