유네스코 인류무형문화유산으로 다 함께 즐기는 한국문화재재단 한가위 특별행사 KCHF Hangawi Special Performance together with UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity

휘영청 달 더덩실 덩덕쿵판

The brightly shining MOON, Exciting MASK, Festive PERFORMANCE

유네스코 인류무형문화유산 등재 종목인 강강술래와 탈춤으로 추석을 상징하는 보름달 모양 ‘원’에 ‘다 함께'라는 의미를 담았다. 

우리나라 대표 명절 한가위를 대한민국의 허브인 인천국제공항을 방문하는 국내외 방문객들과 함께 흥겨운 한마당이 펼쳐진다. 

The KCHF's Special Performance for Hangawi is being held to present Ganggangsullae (Circle Dance) and Talchum (Mask Dance), each of which is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, under the themes of "A Full-Moon-Shaped Circle" and “All Together Now" to symbolize Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day).

Chuseok, or Hangawi, Korea's representative national holiday, will be celebrated with these exciting

performances for domestic and foreign visitors to Incheon International Airport, the hub of Korea.

추석 또는 한가위는 음력 8월 15일에 치르는 행사로 설날과 더불어 한국의 주요 연휴이자 민족 최대의 명절이다. 

추석에는 풍성하고 즐거운 놀이를 하며 지내기에, 잘 먹고 잘 입고 편히 살기를 바라는 덕담이 있다. 

'더도 말고, 덜도 말고, 늘 가윗날만 같아라'

Chuseok or Hangawi is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar.

Along with Seollal (Korean New Year's Day), it is a major national holiday and festival in Korea. 

During Chuseok, people celebrate the good harvest, enjoy playing games, and exchange wishes for health and good fortune. 

"I wish things were always like they are on Hangawi!"

손에 손을 잡고 서로를 마주하며 한마음을 담아 무르익은 달을 맞이하는구나.

The brightly shining MOON

Holding hands and facing each other, the circle dancers will welcome the full moon with one heart.

더덩실 탈

탈을 쓰고 한삼 자락을 휘날리며 같은 호흡과 동작으로 합심으로 달의 신명을 춤추는구나.

Exciting MASK

Wearing a mask and fluttering the hem of their hansam (water sleeves), the dancers will give exciting performances to celebrate the Full Moon, breathing and moving in unison.

덩덕쿵 판

풍성하고 넉넉한 한가위를 닮은 한바탕 판이 펼쳐지는구나.

A festive performance representing the abundance and generous spirit of Chuseok will unfold for the audience.
